The PFC Bruce W. Carter Detachment 052 of the Department of Florida Marine Corps League serves the Miami community by bringing together current and former Marines, FMF Navy Corpsmen, and FMF Navy Chaplains in a spirit of camaraderie and fellowship.
Named in honor of PFC Bruce W. Carter, our detachment is dedicated to preserving the proud traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps. We unite those currently serving in the Marine Corps with those who have been honorably discharged, creating a brotherhood committed to supporting all Marines, their families, widows, and orphans.
Through community-based programs and active involvement in local initiatives, we work to perpetuate Marine Corps history while making a positive impact in South Florida. Our detachment also plays a vital role in advocating for legislation affecting the Marine Corps, national security, and veterans' benefits, ensuring that the voices and needs of Marines are represented at the national level.

The Military Order of the Devil Dogs (MODD) represents the honor society of the Marine Corps League, recognizing members who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the League's mission and Marine Corps values. Known for their distinctive ceremonies and traditions, Devil Dogs add pageantry and military bearing to our detachment activities.
MODD members participate in special ceremonies, color guard events, and memorial services throughout Miami-Dade County. Their presence honors Marine Corps traditions while serving as ambassadors of our organization's commitment to excellence and service.

Detachment 052 proudly sponsors the PFC Bruce W. Carter MOH Young Marines unit, providing youth ages 8-18 with opportunities to develop leadership skills, physical fitness, and strong moral character based on Marine Corps values and traditions.
The Young Marines program helps young people develop discipline, teamwork, and civic responsibility through structured activities and mentorship from experienced Marine veterans.
