
Colonel Bradley Jewitt’s USMCR (Ret) military career spanned over 32 years with both enlisted and commissioned service.
Colonel Jewitt enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in 1989. He served as a Rifleman and Fireteam leader with Echo Company 2nd Battalion 25th Marine Regiment until he received his commission in 1992. Colonel Jewitt’s active-duty tours include serving as the Disbursing Officer at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, the Finance Officer, the Communications Officer and the Headquarters & Service Company Commanding Officer at Marine Corps Security Forces Battalion and the Comptroller for the Administration and Resources Division at Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC).
He rejoined the Marine Corps Reserve in 2001. His tours included serving at HQMC as a Legislative Affairs Officer for the Office of Legislative Affairs, a Watch Officer for Plans, Policies and Operations, a Budget Analyst for Programs and Resources, and a Section Head for Reserve Affairs.
Colonel Jewitt’s 06 tours included serving as Director, Cryptologic Augmentation Program for Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion and Officer in Charge, HQMC Intelligence Department, Individual Mobilization Augmentee Detachment. He retired in 2021.
As a reservist, was mobilized three times. Two mobilizations were in support of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom both served in the United States. The other was a year-long combat deployment to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served as the Ministry of Interior Team Chief for the Iraq Security Assistance Mission. He was a Joint Qualified Officer and a graduate of the full-length, resident Air War College where he received a Master of Strategic Studies degree.
His decorations include the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star medals.
In civilian life, he recently retired as the Chief Administrative Officer (SES) for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. In FY2019, Colonel Jewitt was selected to serve as a Fellow in the White House Leadership Development Program. He recently served on the Maryland Veterans Commission, Maryland Military Installations Council, and as Chairman of the Prince George’s County Maryland Commission for Veterans.
Colonel Jewitt has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from York College Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Management from Troy University.
He and his wife, Cheryl live in Ocean City, NJ. Their son, Hunter (LCpl Retired), serves as a Baltimore City Police detective.
